In the beginning..

NEIL JOHN LAWRIE was born in Brisbane, Australia on 26 April 1924 to parents JOHN ( known as JOCK ) LAWRIE and ESTHER STRUTT.

NEIL JOHN LAWRIE was the third child of JOCK LAWRIE and ESTHER STRUTT, the first born child being daughter AVIS ESTHER LAWRIE ( born Brisbane ) 26 October 1914. The second child born to JOCK LAWRIE and ESTHER STRUTT was daughter ENA ANNIE LAWRIE ( born Brisbane ) 9 September 1916.
